The Monroe City inside game proved to be too much for the Kirksville Lady Tigers Saturday as the Panthers picked up a 62-52 win. KHS trailed by just 4 at halftime 29-25, and trailed by just 2 at one point in the 3rd, but Monroe City’s aggressive play underneath helped them pull away for the victory.
Kenslie Stufflebeam led KHS with 16 points, 11 for Corinne Vorkink, and 10 for Jenna Jackson. Monroe City has four players in double figures, 17 for Bailee Hays, 15 for Riley Quinn, 14 for Haley Hagan and 10 for Clara Minor. Lady Tigers dip to 0-2 on the year and open NCMC play Friday with a road trip to Moberly.
