The Kirksville Lady Tigers opened the season at Centralia Thursday and lost 43-35. KHS outscored the Panthers 8-3 in the second quarter to grab a 14-11 lead at halftime, but Centralia outscored the Lady Tigers 14-6 in the third, and 18-15 in the fourth. Kirksville trailed by 7 twice in the fourth quarter and tied the game at 33-33 with a couple of minutes remaining in the game, but Centralia went on a 10-2 run the rest of the way to secure the victory. Corinne Vorkink led KHS with 10 points, Kenslie Stufflebeam finished with 8 points. The Lady Tigers turned the ball over 23 times. Next, KHS is schedule to head to Monroe City Saturday afternoon with a 1:45 pregame and the tipoff at 2:00 on KIRX.
