Adrian Lavoie, age 81, of Edina, MO passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at his residence
in Edina. He was born July 22, 1939, in Caswell, Maine where he received his education.
He served his country in the United States Marines and the Army National Guard. He was employed for several years in Connecticut with General Electric and Stanley. He moved to Edina in 2009 and on August 24, 2009 was united in marriage to Noella Marie Lavoie.
Adrian was a member of the Franco-American War Veterans, Knox County Memorial Post # 4822 V.F.W., the V.F.W. Post #511 of New Britain, CT, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, and Knights of Columbus. Adrian was a man so caring, gentle, loved by so many family members, friends and served his country as a proud Marine. He also enjoyed visiting with family and helping the Knights of Columbus with bingo and fish fries.
Surviving are his wife Noella Marie Lavoie of Edina, MO, one son Michael Lavoie of New Britain, CT, one step-son Kevin (Tabatha) Shanley of Edina, MO, one step-daughter Karen (Kim) Meinhardt of Memphis, MO, a half-brother John (Diane) Levesque of Crossville, TN, nine step grandchildren, sixteen step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Adrian was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held Friday, September 25, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Jacksonville, MO under the direction of the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
