WASHINGTON 9 – Miami 3… Trea Turner went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored for the Nationals. Anibal Sanchez (1-3) allowed a run on five hits over seven innings.
BALTIMORE 5 – Boston 4… Rio Ruiz had a two-run single and a two-run double in leading the Orioles past the Red Sox.
Detroit 7 – CLEVELAND 4… Jorge Bonifacio homered with a runner aboard, Niko Goodrum and Grayson Greiner added solo shots and the Tigers cruised past the Indians.
TAMPA BAY 5 – Toronto 4… Austin Meadows knocked in a pair of runs and the Rays held off the Blue Jays.
PITTSBURGH 5 – Milwaukee 4… Gregory Polanco’s two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning powered the Pirates past the Brewers. Jarrod Dyson had a couple of hits and an RBI.
Minnesota 5 – KANSAS CITY 4… Nelson Cruz’s 10th homer of the season was a solo shot in the top of the ninth inning and proved to be the difference as the Twins edged the Royals. Marwin Gonzalez produced a two-run double.
ST. LOUIS 6 – Cincinnati 2… Yadier Molina went 4-for-5 with a pair of run-scoring singles and the Cardinals downed the Reds. Dylan Carlson and Harrison Bader hit two-run homers for St. Louis.
CHI. CUBS 2 – Chi. White Sox 1… Cubs starter Yu Darvish (5-1) allowed just a run on six hits over seven innings and struck out 10 to win his fifth straight and hand the White Sox their first loss in eight games. Kyle Schwarber provided all the offense the Cubs needed with a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning.
SEATTLE 4 – Texas 1… Justin Dunn (2-1) pitched one-hit ball over six shutout innings and the Mariners breezed past the Rangers. Seattle got homers from Austin Nola, Kyle Lewis and Sam Haggerty.
OAKLAND 5 – L.A. Angels 4 (10 innings)… Mark Canha lifted a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Athletics a walkoff win over the Angels. Canha also singled home a run in the first.
SAN DIEGO 5 – Houston 3… Manny Machado connected for a tie-breaking two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Padres made it stand in beating the Astros.
L.A. DODGERS 11 – Colorado 3… The Dodgers pounded out seven home runs in crushing the Rockies to complete a series sweep. Mookie Betts homered twice and drove in three runs. Enrique Hernandez delivered a three-run blast. Corey Seager, Cody Bellinger, Max Muncy and Will Smith also went deep.
SAN FRANCISCO 6 – Arizona 1… Alex Dickerson belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to help the Giants put away the Diamondbacks. Mike Yastrzemski also went deep.
Philadelphia 5 – ATLANTA 4… Didi Gregorius’ relay home cut down Dansby Swanson at the plate for the game’s final out and preserved the Phillies’ win over the Braves. Gregorius, Rhys Hoskins and Alec Bohm homered for Philadelphia.
