MINNESOTA 7 – Pittsburgh 3… The Twins ripped the Pirates for their fifth straight win. Nelson Cruz went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Jose Berrios (1-1) allowed just a run on four hits over six innings.

Cleveland 4 – CINCINNATI 2… The Indians rallied past the Reds after spotting them a two-run lead. Franmil Reyes belted a tie-breaking two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning. Shane Bieber (3-0) allowed two runs on five hits over 7-2/3 innings.

TAMPA BAY 5 – Boston 1… The Rays snapped a five-game skid and dealt the Red Sox their fourth straight loss. Charlie Morton (1-1) limited Boston to a run on five hits over 5-2/3 innings.

WASHINGTON 5 – N.Y. Mets 3… The Nationals built a 5-0 lead after three innings and coasted past the Mets. Howie Kendrick went 4-for-4 with a solo homer. Jose Harrison went deep with a runner aboard.

ATLANTA 10 – Toronto 1… Max Fried (2-0) held the Blue Jays to a run on four hits over six innings and got plenty of support offensively. Austin Riley blasted a three-run homer. Tyler Flowers and Matt Adams added solo shots.

Miami 4 – BALTIMORE 0… Pablo Lopez (1-0) pitched two-hit ball over five innings and got help from four relievers in the Marlins’ blanking of the Orioles. Jesus Aguilar and Francisco Cervelli homered.

Chi. White Sox 3 – MILWAUKEE 2… The White Sox came from two runs down in the sixth inning to edge the Brewers for their sixth straight win. Jose Abreu singled home the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh. Eloy Jimenez connected for a two-run blast. 

CHI. CUBS 5 – Kansas City 4… The Cubs held off the Royals to run their winning streak to five games. They got homers from Jason Heyward, Jason Kipnis and Willson Contreras. 

COLORADO 5 – San Francisco 2… German Marques (2-1) pitched into the eighth inning and the Rockies won their eighth in 10 games. Nolan Arenado homered with the bases empty. 

OAKLAND 5 – Texas 1… Stephen Piscotty unloaded the Athletics’ second walkoff grand slam of the season in the bottom of the ninth inning. Matt Chapman also went deep for Oakland. 

L.A. Dodgers 5 – SAN DIEGO 2… AJ Pollock came through with a pinch-hit go-ahead double in the top of the seventh inning and added a solo homer to lead the Dodgers past the Padres. Dustin May (1-0) allowed two runs on three hits over six innings.

Houston 8 – ARIZONA 2… The Astros used a five-run top of the fifth inning to break open a close game and cruised past the Diamondbacks. Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa homered. Cristian Javier limited Arizona to a run on four hits over six innings.

L.A. Angels 5 – SEATTLE 3… David Fletcher and Albert Pujols hit two-run homers, Mike Trout added a solo shot and the Angels topped the Mariners. Andrew Heaney (1-0) surrendered a run on three hits over 5-2/3 innings.

Philadelphia – N.Y. YANKEES (ppd)… Rain in New York forced postponement of last night’s Phillies-Yankees game. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader today.
