ATLANTA 4 – N.Y. Mets 0… Five pitchers combined on the shutout as the Braves won their fifth straight. Johan Camargo homered with the bases empty.

CHI. CUBS 2 – Pittsburgh 1 (11 innings)… Javier Baez singled home David Bote with the winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning. 

COLORADO 9 – San Diego 6… Daniel Murphy went 4-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs in leading the Rockies past the Padres. Ryan McMahon and Matt Kemp also went deep.

L.A. Dodgers 3 – ARIZONA 0… Clayton Kershaw (1-0) pitched three-hit ball over 5-2/3 innings and three relievers completed the Dodgers’ blanking of the Diamondbacks. L.A. got homers from Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger.

BALTIMORE 5 – Tampa Bay 1… The Orioles pulled away to complete a sweep of the three-game series. Hanser Alberto doubled home the tiebreaking run in the bottom of the seventh inning Renato Nunez and Pat Valaika homered.

Chi. White Sox 9 – KANAS CITY 3… The White Sox erupted to score seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to put away the Royals. Yasmani Grandal had three hits and drove in a run. Nick Madrigal went 4-for-5 with an RBI.

MINNESOTA 3 – Cleveland 1… Six pitchers combined on a two-hitter as the Twins clipped the Indians. Mitch Garver’s first homer of the season was a solo shot.

Houston 6 – L.A. ANGELS 5 (11 innings)… Alex Bregman singled home George Springer with a go-ahead run in the top of the 11th inning and the Astros made it stand in outlasting the Angels. 

Oakland 3 – SEATTLE 2… Ramon Laureano blasted a three-run homer in the top of the fifth inning and the Athletics hung on to edge the Mariners. Chris Bassitt (1-0) allowed a run on three hits over 5-2/3 innings. 

N.Y. YANKEES 9 – Boston 7… Aaron Judge belted a pair of homers and knocked in five runs to lead the Yankees past the Red Sox. He has gone deep in five straight games. Luke Voit also circled the bases for New York. 

INTERLEAGUE
Cincinnati 4 – DETROIT 3… Nick Castellanos homered twice and drove in three runs for the Reds in the doubleheader opener. Shogo Akiyama singled home the tie-breaking run in the top of the seventh inning. 

Cincinnati 4 – DETROIT 0… Trevor Bauer (1-0) tossed a two-hitter in the seven-inning contest and the Reds finished off a doubleheader sweep. 

Texas 9 – SAN FRANCISCO 5… The Rangers used a four-run top of the seventh inning to get past the Giants. Joey Gallo capped the uprising with a three-run homer. Shin-Soo Choo also went deep for Texas.
