In 1988 she and Jerry moved to Edina and opened their own restaurant, The Kitchen Inn. Which they ran until Jerry’s health declined in 1992. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and Hospice before her own health declined.

She was very faithful to her God and Church. Daisy accepted the Lord at a young age and remained ever faithful. She was a 40 year member of the Assembly of God Church, and also attended the New Testament Church in Rutledge until her health declined.
