Banged Up Chiefs Update Injury Report

The Kansas City Chiefs began practice Wednesday ahead of a divisional matchup with the Denver Broncos this coming Sunday.

Wednesday’s Chiefs injury report featured nine members of the Chiefs’ active roster, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes, running back Kareem Hunt and defensive end George Karlaftis.

Mahomes, who went down with a reaggravation of an ankle injury during Monday night’s 30-24 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was listed as a full participant.

Wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster, who injured his hamstring in a Week 7 win over the San Francisco 49ers, did not participate in practice Wednesday. Defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton, who briefly exited Monday night’s game, was also a non-participant in Wednesday’s practice due to a knee injury.

Karlaftis (abdomen), Hunt (quad) and wide receiver Mecole Hardman (shoulder), were each listed as limited participants in practice.

Defensive end Mike Danna, whose missed several weeks due to a pectoral injury, was listed as a full participant in the first practice of the week. So too, was cornerback Nazeeh Johnson (concussion) and defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (triceps).
