Lorene Bernice (Davis) Stewart, 82, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023 at Kirksville Manor Care Center in Kirksville.
Born July 18, 1940 in Stahl, Missouri, Lorene was the daughter of the late Luther and Margaret Lucille (Walters) Davis. Lorene was united in marriage to Roy Stewart who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, Roger Stewart; one grandson, Austin Stewart, and one sister, Margaret Jones.
Lorene is survived by one son, Sam Stewart of Kirksville, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Bob Ashmore of Kirksville, MO; three brothers and a daughter-in-law, Bud and Vicky Davis of Novinger, MO, and Earl Davis and Larry Phillips both of Kirksville, MO; three sisters, Verna Gardner, Lora Hatfield, and Connie Phillip all of Kirksville, MO, as well as five grandchildren.
Lorene lived most of her life in Adair County where she received her education. She worked part of her life as a nurses aide and enjoyed reading and crocheting.
It was Lorene’s wish to be cremated and no service be held.
