Josephine A. Allen, 88 of Kirksville passed away Friday, June 2, 2023 at Milan Health Care in Milan, Missouri.
The daughter of Angelo and Maria (Pachi) Gabucci, she was born July 10, 1934 in Shaw, Mississippi. On August 6, 1952 in Shaw, Mississippi she was united in marriage to Joe Allen.
Josephine and her husband moved to Kirksville in 1964 and many years later they moved to Osage Beach where they enjoyed time at the lake with family and friends often. She enjoyed family get togethers and making her homemade spaghetti gravy, a family favorite. She enjoyed most of all being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Josephine is survived by her husband of nearly 71 years, Joe; her children, Mary (Penny) Allen Findling, Bob and Brenda Allen, and Kathy Allen Davis Parrish; grandchildren, Tracy (Cliff) Lewis, Jeremy Davis, Tim Davis, Courtney Parrish, Joey (Becky) Allen, Nikki (Don) Baum, Amy (Mike) Conover, and Brittany Rouse (fiancé Robbie); great grandchildren. Dylan, Blake (Ezra) & Kaden Lewis, Kyle & Taryn Morganstern, Tyler (Riley) Davis, Caitlyn Davis, Kendahl & Kale Davis, Elliana & Dane Allen, Brock (Morgan) Powell, Derrick, Austin & Brooklynn Conover, and Adalyn Rigney; great great grandchildren, Oaklynn & Bennett Powell, and Kaysen Ray Davis; and one sister, Joan Kasang.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sister, Levia Galtelli, Lena Biondini, Tina Sabbatini, and Paula Brown; three brothers, Tony, Peter and Dannie Gabucci; and one half brother, Paul.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023 at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.
