Saundra Sue (Veatch) Durham

Saundra Sue (Veatch) Durham, 71 of Glenwood, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.

The daughter of Louis Elmer and Thelma Bethene (Ruggles) Veatch, Saundra was born on October 28, 1951 in Washington, Iowa. She was a 1968 graduate of the Schuyler County School System and later pursued a LPN degree with Indian Hills Community College in Centerville, Iowa.

Saundra was united in marriage to Sammy Weaver and to this union four children were born, Lavern (Jack), Tina, Sam and Melissa. She later had one daughter, Candace. She then was united in marriage to John Durham and to this union one child was born, Billie.

Saundra is survived by her children, Lavern (Jack) Weaver and wife Reba of Mexico, Missouri, Tina Aldridge and husband, Carl of Queen City, Missouri, Sammy Jr. Weaver of Lebanon, Missouri, Melissa Nolte of Lancaster, Missouri, Candace and husband, Shane of Florida, and Billie Head of Queen City, Missouri; grandchildren; Shirley, April (Brian), Robert, Ashley, McKensy, Matthew, Saundra (Jake), Hannah, Malachi, Cody, Trevor, Christian, Nick, Tyler, Katie, Allen Edward III, Darrien, Reha, Chloe, Saphira, and Ezekiel; great grandchildren; Joseph Edward, Eric Leo, Marcus Lee, Matthias Anthony, Marian Lenore, Samantha Marie, Jason Allen, Rhian Ray and Weston Lee; one sister, Debra Ferdig and husband, Charlie of Lancaster, Missouri; one brother, Louis Wade Veatch and wife, Kathy of Kirksville, Missouri; nieces and nephews and other family members.

Saundra is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Elmer Veatch on November 28, 2002 and Thelma Bethene (Ruggles) Veatch on September 15, 2012; husband, John Durham in 2002; two children in infancy; and one son-in-law, James Nolte.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Robin McCullar officiating assisted by Matthew Steeter. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for Glenwood Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the Coatsville Cemetery in Coatsville, Missouri.
