Dr. Robert (Bob) Sprehe, 89, formerly of Kirksville, MO, died on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023 in Clearwater Beach, Florida, where he resided. Bob was a resident of Kirksville for over 50 years. Born in Buckley, IL, and was one of 11 children.
Bob received his PhD from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, and taught Business Education at Northeast Missouri State University for over 30 years before retiring. Bob was an active Shriner and member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kirksville and Chapel by the Sea in Clearwater, FL.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, and is survived by his sister, Ruth, of Augusta, South Carolina; two daughters, Christine Gerlach of Tampa, FL and Linda Mabrey of Belleair Beach, FL; three grandchildren – Mandy, Ashley, and Ryan; one great-grandchild, Ava.
A visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. A Masonic rites service will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the start of the visitation.
A celebration service will be held on Friday, February 17th, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Kirksville. Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri following the memorial service. A brief committal service will be held at the cemetery.

They may be dropped off or mailed to the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, 2100 E. Shepherd Avenue, Kirksville, MO 63501.
