David Leroy Miller age 83, of Columbia, Missouri passed away on Tuesday evening January 31, 2023.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Pleasant Prairie Cemetery in Shelby County near Bethel, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
David was born December 22, 1939 in Plevna, Missouri to Harold Leroy and Alta Voncille Pulse Miller. David attended the Plevna grade school and graduated from the Edina high school. He graduated from the University of Missouri College of Agriculture with a degree in ag education.
David married Betty Lou Prebe (deceased) in Moberly, Missouri on December 8, 1957.
Dave is survived by one daughter, Dr. Tamara Sue Miller-Lloyd (Lon) and their children Jordan and Jenna of Dallas, TX: one son, Roy Miller (Lori) of Moberly, MO and their children Wynter and Aaron (Claudia) and two great grands, Harrison and Brooke: and one sister, Saundra Hensley (Don) of West Des Moines, IA.
David was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Larry. David will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
David taught school and farmed for a time, but was a salesman at heart. Through the years David sold feed, computers, software, and real estate. David and Betty were always faithful to be a part of church wherever they lived, and he was a member of the Forum Blvd. Church in Columbia at the time of his death.
Memorials in his memory are suggested in lieu of flowers to Show-Me Christian Youth Home, Lamont, MO.
