Pauline Whitlow

Pauline Lyn (Gosser) Whitlow, 93 of Queen City, Missouri passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.

The daughter of Marvel Guy and Hazel Pauline (Spry) Gosser, she was born on April 13, 1929 in Queen City, Missouri. She was a 1947 graduate of the Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri.

On July 6, 1947 in Lancaster, Missouri she was united in marriage to Howard Wayne Whitlow and to this union five children were born, Mike, Cathy, Randy, Julie and Lori.

Survivors include her children, Mike Whitlow and wife, Nancy of Lancaster, Missouri, Cathy Jennings and husband, Roy of O’Fallon, Missouri, Randy Whitlow and friend, Brenda Swedberg-Bruner of Lancaster, Missouri, Julie Cook and husband, Henry of Lancaster, Missouri and Lori Horn and husband, Eric of Ashland, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, Michael A. Whitlow and wife, Missy of Aurora, Illinois, Michelle Zelek and husband, Michael of West Dundee, Illinois, Richard Whitlow and wife, Shelly of Charlotte, Tennessee, Brady Jennings and wife, Cassie of O’Fallon, Missouri, Travis Whitlow and wife, Crystal of Queen City, Missouri, Jason Whitlow and friend, Caitlin Close of Lancaster, Missouri, Chance Cook and wife, Ivy of Paris, Missouri, Rhett Cook and wife, Jessika of Rolla, Missouri, Denver Horn and wife, Abagayle of Holts Summit, Missouri, Morgan James and husband, Rob of Warrensburg, Missouri, Taiya “Bob” Horn of Columbia, Missouri and her beloved grand puppy, Timmy; 12 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Bruce Gosser and wife, Karen of St. Louis, Missouri; nieces and nephews; other family members including a special friend, Vicki McBride of Bryan, Ohio.

Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Marvel and Hazel Gosser; her husband, Howard Whitlow on September 19, 2018; one grandson and wife, Brian and Melany Jennings; one sister, Betty Patrick and two brothers, Bob Gosser and Larry Gosser.

Pauline was a member of the Queen City United Methodist Church in Queen City, Missouri.

Pauline was an accomplished singer and sang at numerous funerals in the county. She enjoyed sewing for her family and others. Her love of sewing continued while living at the nursing home. She also enjoyed playing the piano and teaching the keyboard.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022 between the hours of 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Graveside services will follow the visitation at the Queen City Cemetery in Queen City, Missouri. Eulogist will be Bruce Gosser. Pallbearers will be Pauline’s grandsons.
