Beverly Blomgren

Beverly Louise (Eakins) Blomgren, 79 of Kahoka, Missouri, formerly of Lancaster, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Blessing Hospital, Hospice Unit in Quincy, Illinois.

The daughter of Vernon Leroy and Varina Lucine (Thomas) Eakins, she was born on September 25, 1942 in Ottumwa, Iowa. On May 29, 1976 in Mt. Dora, Florida, she was united in marriage to Richard Lee Blomgren.

Survivors include her husband, Richard (Dick) Blomgren of Kahoka, Missouri; her children, Diana Craney of Sedalia, Missouri and Christopher Blomgren and wife, April of Kahoka, Missouri; six grandchildren, Rachael Renfrew of Des Moines, Iowa, Brittany Bone of Des Moines, Iowa, Bridgette Graham and husband, Craig of Independence, Missouri, Kaitlin Curran and husband, Don of Windsor, Missouri, Evan and William Blomgren of Kahoka, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Clayton Renfrew of Des Moines, Iowa, Hadleigh Brewer of Bloomfield, Iowa and James Curran of Windsor, Missouri; two sisters, Erma Edge of Kirksville, Missouri and Karon Groseclose of Lancaster, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Vernon Bone; two brothers, Doyle Eakins and Donald Eakins; two sisters, Ethel Maxine Ashmead and Marguerite Eakins in infancy.

Beverly was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri. She was also a past member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was employed as a Navy Base Librarian in Dahlgren, Virginia at the Naval Surface Warfare Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri at 1:00 p.m. with William Eakins, Pastor of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Drakesville, Iowa assisted by Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Soloist, Sheryl Fabyanic will provide music. Special selections will be “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” and “I Can Only Imagine.” Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri between the hours of 12 noon and 1:00 p.m. with a meal for family and friends following the services. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Food Room and Blessing Hospital, Hospice Unit. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.
