Tigers Explode In Second Half In Win Over Canton

The Kirksville Tigers rode a monster second half by Keaton Anderson and the Tigers beat Canton 73-50 in the first round of the Highland Tournament Wednesday. Canton controlled the first hal tempo and KHS only led 24-14 at the break. But cue Keaton. Anderson scored 21 points in the third, went 4 for 5 at the stripe to help KHS take 49-32 lead into the fourth. Anderson kept it going with 10 more fourth quarter points, and Cole Kelly buried a couple of big three’s to help KHS pull away and win 73-50. Anderson finished with 33 points, Kelly with 16. Kirksville gets to 10-1 on the year and will play in the tournament semi-finals against Palmyra Friday night at 6:00.
