John Staggs, 67, of Unionville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home in Unionville on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
John Frederick Staggs was born in Kennett, Missouri, the son of Glenn and Mary (Husted) Staggs, who preceded him in death. John was reared in an Air Force family and so had the privilege of living in several locations growing up including California, Maryland, North Dakota, and Alabama. He graduated from Sydney Lanier High School in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1972. John lived much of his adult life in Colorado. He lived in Loveland, Colorado, before moving to Unionville, Missouri, in 2009. John worked in sales with a carpet firm in Colorado and at the Putnam County Library in Unionville. John was quiet, but always ready to help library patrons. He was an avid reader, especially of the Tom Clancy variety, and liked to play golf. John enjoyed a good game of darts.
John is survived by his daughter, Jessica Olson of Brighton, Colorado, and three grandchildren, Kaylynne, Jayden, and Rylan Olson. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary (Dennis) Fast of Golden, Colorado, and Stephanie (Tom) Fowler of Columbia, Missouri. Nieces and nephews survive as well.
John was cremated according to his wishes and no services are planned.
