Alice Ann Gipson

Alice Ann Gipson, age 75, of Edina, MO, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, in LaBelle Manor in LaBelle, MO. She was born June 9, 1946, in Edina, MO, the daughter of Fred and Nellie Rae House Ewalt. She was united in marriage to Roger Steven Gipson on May 11, 1990, in Edina, MO and he preceded her in death on May 19, 2016. Alice was also preceded by her parents, five brothers, Byron, John, Bud, Charlie and albert Ewalt, two sisters Roberta Agee and Carol Pemberton and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

Surviving are one daughter Ann LaNell of Edina, MO, one brother Roy Lee Ewalt of Galesburg, IL, one sister Jewell See of Colony, MO, grandchildren Jason LaRon Boone, Cedric LaShae Boone and friend Moriah, Rayden Kade Wheeler and Trace Anson Wheeler, two great grandchildren Chandler Cole and Camiah Rae, brothers and sisters-in-law Donna Rowlison, Connie Hyde, Beverly (David) Arment, Bonnie (Dale) Bowen, Gloria (Kenny) Dooley, Barbara Ewalt, Betty Ewalt and Deloris Kincaid and several nieces and nephews.

Alice attended schools in Knox City, MO, graduated from Knox County High School and graduated from cosmetology school in Columbia. Alice was employed at De Rosear’s Beauty Shop in Memphis, MO and Edina, MO. She was also employed as a CNA at Knox County Nursing Home and was a caregiver for various individuals in Knox County. Alice was a fifty-year member of Colony Order of the Eastern Star Chapter # 543. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, crafts, decorating and taking vacations with Bob and Cindy.

Visitation will be held in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home Sunday, November 7, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Star Services being held at 7 p.m. by Colony Eastern Star Chapter # 543.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021, in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend Mike Wilson will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be nephews.
