Laura Lee Sinclair

Laura Lee Sinclair, 82, of Beebe, Arkansas and formerly of Green City, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sherwood, Arkansas.

The daughter of Herbert and V. Faye (Overstreet) Sinclair, she was born May 13, 1939, in Milan, Missouri.

Laura is survived by two sisters; Mary Ellen (John) Long of Kansas City, Missouri and Linda Kay (Paul) Miller of Beebe, Arkansas; four nephews, Todd (Gigi) Miller, Mark (Kim) Miller, David (Deanna) Long, and Rick Ova; and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, a sister, Ruth Sinclair, and a niece, Jeanne Ova.

Laura grew up in Green City and graduated from Green City High School in 1957. She was the first female to graduate from Northeast Missouri State University to go on and become a Certified Public Accountant. After college she worked for Peat, Marwick, and Mitchell Accounting Firm, then Kraft Foods, Goldman Sachs, Chase Bank in New York, and Sterling Drug. She then became a Broker for Edward D. Jones. In her younger years she enjoyed playing Golf but mostly she liked following the stock market. Laura was a past member of the Green City Lady Lions and the Milan Rotary Clubs.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City. Visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. A private family inurnment service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery north of Milan.
