Caren Jean Griggs passed peacefully on October 22, 2021, at the age of 68. Caren was born in Turlock, Ca, moving to Missouri in her teen years and graduating from Macon High School. Caren married the only love of her life, David Kent Griggs in 1971.
Caren was preceded in death by her husband, David, her parents, and one grandchild, Sydney. Caren and David had three children, Danica wife of Ron Collinge of Kirksville, Mo; Sarah wife of Daniel Dunn of Fresno, Ca; and Timothy Griggs, husband of Nicole of Florence, Sc. Caren adored her 12 grandchildren; Mallory, Levi, Brendan, Ian, Jake, Tori, Haley, Madison, Audrey, Titus and Aidan as well as her first great-grandchild, Eleanor.
Caren served as a Registered Nurse and her generous nature was on display by her ready smile, heart of compassion, and selfless service. She was especially fond of her Swedish heritage, her siblings, extended family, and loved to travel, enjoying the sights and tastes of various cultures and cities. She was an integral part of Life Church of Kirksville for nearly 40 years serving as a mother and grandmother to many spiritual children.
