Cardinals Streak Halted By Brewers

Daniel Vogelbach hit a two-run homer that backed Adrian Houser and led the Milwaukee Brewers over St. Louis 4-0 Wednesday night, bringing to an end the Cardinals 17 game winning streak.

Manny Piña added a solo homer for the NL Central champion Brewers, who have won four of five.

A night after clinching a postseason berth, the Cardinals rested a number of starters.

Houser (10-6) allowed three hits in five innings.

Miles Mikolas (2-3) allowed three runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings.

The playoff bound Cardinals wrap up the series with the Brewers with a day game today, J.A. Happ will go for St. Louis, 11:20 with the pregame and the first pitch at 12:15 on KIRX.
