Robert Lee Lingenfelter, age 89 of Kirksville, MO, formerly of Hurdland, MO, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, in Kirksville, MO. He was born September 6, 1931, on the family farm northwest of Edina, MO. the son of Arles Everett and Myrtle Marie Roush Lingenfelter. He was united in marriage to Mary Margaret Peterson on November 24, 1951 in Hurdland, MO.
Surviving are his wife Mary Margaret Lingenfelter of Kirksville, MO, one daughter Roberta Leah (Tim) Wheeler of Kirksville, MO, two sons, Terry Gene (Sherry) Lingenfelter of Hurdland, MO and Rex Alan (Tracie) Lingenfelter of Hurdland, MO, six grandchildren Linda Suzanne Wheeler, Callie Jo Wheeler, Erin Renee (Chad) Miller, Tara Jane (Brett) Lowe, Andy Lingenfelter and Devin Lingenfelter, six great grandchildren, one sister Mary Louise Lingenfelter of Edina, MO, several brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robert was preceded by his parents, and one daughter Linda Lou Lingenfelter.
Robert received his education in the Baker rural school and Baring High School. He was engaged in farming all his life northwest of Edina, MO. Robert enjoyed farming and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Dennis Mayer will officiate the services. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, MO.
Music will be provided by Mary Peterson and Angela Haworth.
Casket bearers will be Max Mayer, Delbert Stoner, Denny McMahon, Ronnie Peterson, Danny Peterson and Larry Peterson.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021, with family receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer funeral Home in Edina, MO.
