Tracy Lynn Snelling

Tracy Lynn Snelling age 49, of Baring, MO passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at her home in Baring. She was born November 25, 1971, in Kirksville, MO, the daughter of Gerald Francis and Genave Frances Potter Snelling.

Tracy graduated from Knox County High School and attended Moberly Area Community College.

Growing up Tracy was a book worm. She was a straight A student without even trying. She loved hanging out with friends and swimming in the Baring Lake. She was involved in grade school basketball and cheerleading. During high school she spent Saturday night cruising the square and attending bonfires with friends. She worked at C&R Market in Edina. Tracy was always naturally beautiful and well put together and highly intelligent. After high school she worked at Halliburton Hills Group Home in Kirksville, MO as a director. She loved her job taking care of the mentally handicapped. While working at Halliburton Hills she became CPR certified and trained newly hired employees. She was also certified in MAT. She was highly respected and loved by everyone. She worked there for ten years until she started experiencing health issues. While working she attended MACC for two years. In high school she met John Pinson. John had two sons Travis and Scott that Tracy was crazy about. She treated them as if they were her own. John and Tracy together had a son “Grant”. Grant was the love of her life. She adored him and he was her whole world. Grants fondest memory was playing tennis with his mom.

Tracy later moved to Baring with Grant and worked at Baring Farm Service up until five years ago when her health issues became worse. She loved her cat named Daisy. Tracy will be remembered for her loving and kind spirit and will never be forgotten. Always loved and forever missed.

Surviving are one son Jonathan Grant Pinson of Baring, MO, one step son, Travis (Terri) Pinson of Etowah, TN, three sisters, Jean Marie Snelling of Memphis, MO, Julie (Tim) Frazier of Troy, MO, Terese Tarpein of Baring, MO, two brothers, Terry (Christy) Snelling of Kirksville, MO, Jeff Snelling of Baring, MO, one half brother Gary (Carolyn) Snelling of Baring, MO, two half-sisters Joyce (Carl) Garr of Greentop, MO, and Janet Magruder of Jackson, MO, and several nieces and nephews. Tracy was preceded by her parents, brothers Stanley Snelling, James Virgil “Jim” Snelling, Gerald Snelling, one sister Debra Sue Parsons, and three brothers-in-law, John Tarpein, Steve Magruder and Alan Parsons and one step son Scott Pinson.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Tracy at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
