Dick Ray “Dickie” White

Dick Ray “Dickie” White, 75, of Russell, Iowa, formerly of Green Castle, Missouri, passed away at his son’s home in Novinger, Missouri, on Monday, July 12, 2021.

He was born October 13, 1945 in Green Castle, Missouri, the son of the late Raymond Royal and Lemah Unity (Hughes) White. Dickie married Mary Louise Oliver who preceded him in death. He later married Karen McKeehan who preceded him in death. Dickie was also preceded in death by two sisters, Donnie Hines and Lynda Mathis.

Dickie is survived by six sons and four daughters-in-law, Joe (Sara) White of Canton, MO, Mark White of Green Castle, MO, Ron (Angela) Knight of Green City, MO, Jason (Tracy) Robinson of Novinger, MO, Jeremy (Annabelle) Robinson of St. James, MO, and Brandon White of Kirksville, MO, as well as sixteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Dickie was a graduate from Green City R-1 High School with the Class of 1964. He worked a number of years in concrete work with Stockman and Heet Rhodman Construction Company. Dickie farmed, raised cattle, and lived most of his life in Green Castle until moving to Russell, Iowa, where he had resided for the past eight years.

He loved fishing, trapping, coon hunting, deer hunting, camping and gardening.

Public visitation will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with services to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Virgil Jones Officiating.

It was Dickie’s wish to be cremated following his service and he will be inurned at a later date at Green Castle Cemetery in Green Castle, Missouri.
