Rickey Lynn McClaran, 69, of Harris, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
Rick was born on December 30, 1951 in Princeton Missouri, to Bobby and Margaret (Jobe) McClaran. On December 30, 2009, he married Lisa (Stafford) McClaran, they have been together for 29 years, she survives of the home. Also surviving are four sons; Matt McClaran of Harris, Missouri, Dustin (Traci) McClaran of Harris, Missouri, Cody McClaran of Harris, Missouri and Monte McClaran of Kearney, Missouri, three grandchildren; Ryan McClaran, Laney McClaran and Tate McClaran, sister-in-law, Laurie Stafford (Lynn Williams) of Pattonsburg, Missouri, brother-in-law, Larry (Julie) Stafford of Humphreys, Missouri and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gary Laine McClaran and Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, Sammie and Cathie Stafford.
Rick lived most of his life in the Harris and Milan area graduating from Milan High School. After graduating he went to work on his farm in Harris. In the late 80’s, he worked construction in Ashland, Missouri laying sewer and water pipe before returning full time to his farm in 1994 and started McClaran Track Hoe Service. Rick loved hunting and fishing and being outdoors. He was a member of the Milan Elks Lodge. He enjoyed playing poker and smoking his pipe, but most of all loved hanging out with his family.
A visitation for Rick will be held 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. A memorial service will follow starting at 5:00 PM. Rick’s wishes were to be cremated after.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sullivan County Senior Center or the Milan Elks Lodge.
