Linda Kay May, 68 years old, of Milan, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City.
Linda was born April 15, 1953, in Princeton to Ernest Lee and Clydella Leticia (Fairley) Sandefur, they preceded her in death. On November 24, 1974, she married Keith May at the Harris Christian Church, he preceded her in death in 2014. She is survived by two children, Chad May and wife Rachel of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Jennifer May (Sean Conner) of Rolla, Missouri; two grandchildren, Christian and Iris; a brother, Delbert Sandefur of Trenton, Missouri, a significant other, Tom Wasmer of Milan, and several cousins.
Linda grew up in Harris and was involved in 4-H. She graduated High School at Newtown-Harris in 1971. After marrying Keith, she stayed home and raised their children then started working at Ayerco, where she worked for 18 years. She has worked the past few years at H&R Block. Linda had a passion for quilting, crocheting, and embroidery.
Funeral services for Linda will be held 1:30 PM, Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Burial will follow at the Asbury Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday evening at the funeral home.
