Mariellen Campbell, age 86 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
Born November 10, 1934 in Quimby, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Lois (Apgar) Weathers. On August 21, 1953 in Nashua, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Carl Wayne Campbell who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronald A. (Brenda) Campbell of Hartsburg, Missouri and James E. (Karla) Campbell of Baldwin City, Kansas; one daughter, Cindy L. (Randy) Reittinger of Nauvoo, Illinois; one sister, Janeen Keeney of Carlisle, Iowa; five grandchildren, Matthew L. Campbell, Charles M. Campbell, Seth A. Campbell, Israel J. Campbell, and Aaron D. Beeson; four great grandchildren, Kandice Lyttle, Logan Campbell, Simon Campbell, and Adahalay Beeson; and several step-grandchildren.
Her parents, one son, Kenneth Wayne, and two sisters, Helen Heizer and Karen Garcia preceded her in death.
Mariellen was a graduate of North High School in Des Moines, Iowa. She worked at Banquet foods in Macon for many years. Mariellen has lived most of her life in La Plata, Missouri. She was a member of the La Plata Baptist Church. Mariellen was the champion of her family.
Mariellen has been cremated and services will be at a later date.
