Linda Lou (Archer) Lasley

Linda Lou (Archer) Lasley, 69 of Coatsville, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

The daughter of Leslie and Betty Lucinda (Lamb) Archer, she was born on April 10, 1952 in Centerville, Iowa. She was a graduate of the Moulton High School in Moulton, Iowa and later attended Indian Hills Community College in Centerville, Iowa where she graduated with a License Practical Nursing Degree.

On August 4, 1971, she was united in marriage to Larry Dean Lasley in Lancaster, Missouri.

Linda is survived by her husband, Larry Dean Lasley of Coatsville, Missouri; her children, Sherri Amsbary and fiancé, Tony Perez of Waterloo, Iowa, Valleri Lasley of Moulton, Iowa and Richard Lasley and wife, Jerilyn of Coatsville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Samantha Lasley, Sierra and Shannon Hopwood, Ashlyn and Clayton Lasley; two great grandchildren, Logan Lasley and Briggs Johnson; one brother, Marty Archer and wife, Lisa of Kirksville, Missouri; two sisters, Vickie Blew and husband, Donnie of Moulton, Iowa and Theresa Archer of Moulton, Iowa; her mother-in-law, Betty Chance of Queen City, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Linda Lake of Kirksville, Missouri and Janet Hetzler and husband, David of Columbia, Missouri; nieces and nephews; other family members and many good friends.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law, Roy “Nub” Lake.

Linda was employed as an LPN for many years with the Schuyler County Health Department and the Schuyler County Nursing Home. She was very compassionate of her patients and felt their concern no matter what the situation.

Linda loved to spend her time away from work with her family, especially the grandchildren. She loved her morning coffee while watching the birds. She enjoyed feeding a crowd and family vacations!

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri at 1:00 p.m. with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Music will be a special CD selection of “Down to the River to Pray”. Pallbearers will be Jonathon Dotson, Travis Knowler, Ryder Marvin, Stephen Hopwood, Darek Fowler, Clyde Nagel and Anthony Wilson. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services between the hours of noon and 1:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri.
