Michael Eugene Maize, 50 of Kirksville passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
The son of Jesse Andrew and Connie (Claybrook) Maize, he was born February 28, 1971 in Kirksville, Missouri. On August 26, 2006 in Kirksville, he married Sarah Williams and they have two children.
Michael is survived by his children, Anna Grace Maize and Bowen Maize; his mother, Connie Maize of Kirksville; his grandmother, Valee Claybrook of Kirksville; one brother, Marty Maize and wife Amanda of Kirkville; nephews and nieces, Cody Maize & Christy, Morgan Maize & Shea, Trenten Maize, and Bryant Maize; aunts and uncles, Carolyn Hatcher, Joe & Della Claybrook, Jimmie & Caron Claybrook, and Jack & Marie Maize; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Jesse & Pricilla Maize and Ira Claybrook; and one cousin, Ronda Stiles.
Michael graduated from Kirksville High School in 1989. He worked for Food Barn, Adair Foods, Pyramid, Ayerco and Sheltered Workshop. He enjoyed cruising, music, collecting, tattoos, and spending time with Bowen.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2021 at Davis-Playle-Hudson–Rimer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
