Donna Lee (Mulford) Helton, 86. of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
Born June 24, 1934 in Kirksville, Missouri, Donna was the daughter of the late Jacob and Lena (Duncan) Mulford. On November 24, 1954 in Kirksville, Missouri, Donna was united in marriage to Albert Earl Helton who preceded her in death on December 20, 2011. She was also preceded death by one grandson, Jacob.
Donna is survived by two sons, Terry Helton (Janie) and Brad Helton (Janette) all of Kirksville, MO; one daughter, Candie Helton of Rogers, AR; one sister, Carolyn Mulford of Columbia, MO; four grandchildren, Josh, Jonah, Caleb and Kinsey Helton; four great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donna was a graduate from Kirksville High School and received a BA degree at Northeast Missouri State Teacher’s College. Donna was a bookkeeper who worked at Arnold’s Lumber Company, for Nash Bookkeeping and back for Arnold’s. In 1980, Donna went to work at Larry Gardner’s Tax Service where she worked until retiring in 2010.
Donna was very devoted to her children and was always a huge fan of their sporting events. She loved time spent with her family.
Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Graveside services will follow visitation at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, Missouri, with Pastor Virgil Jones officiating.
