Doris Jean Sayre, 81 years old, of Milan, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Milan Health Care Center in Milan.
Doris was born February 10, 1939 in Green City, Missouri to Thomas and Gertrude (Ipock) Sayre. Doris was survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including, Shirley Martin (Bill) of Green City, Ellen Kincanon (Pat) of Green City, Pam Welch of Green City, Lisa Sayre of Green Castle, John Sayre (Julila) of Green Castle, Bobbi Schiff (David) of New Cambria, and Kimerly Vasey (Mark) of Green City.
Doris was preceded in death by: her parents; a sister, Salley Lou Reeves; two brothers, Allen Dean Sayre and Wayne Sayre; four nieces, Debra Sue Sayre, Rosemary Lynn Sayre, Sharon Sayre, and Angel Dawn Sayre; three nephews, Roy Reeves, Ray Reeves, and Wayne Reeves in infancy.
Doris grew up in Green City, and has lived in Milan that past 20 years. She worked at High Hope for several years and also cleaned for other people. Doris attended the Assembly of God Church in Milan. She loved her candy, and liked any animals. Doris enjoyed being with family, and being with people in general.
Graveside services for Doris will be held 3:00 PM, Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Green City. Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City is handling arrangements.
