Marridee came to know and accept Jesus at a young age. At her passing, she was a member of the La Plata Christian Church. Marridee had an amazing bond with her mother. She was the oldest girl in her family so caring, nurturing, and taking care of everyone else came second nature to her. She was a wonderful and loving mother, a good mother-in-law, and occasionally too indulgent “Grams.” She had many kids that called her Mom, Aunt, and Grandma and she loved them all. She and Sam loved over 125 foster children in their home. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to work, dance, and listen to her gospel music. She loved to tell a good story, sometimes the 10th retelling was miles away from the first version, but her stories never got old. She never knew a stranger and always gave to anyone in need, even if she did not have much to give, she gave it anyway. She loved her lord and life itself.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the La Plata Christian Church. Funeral Services will follow with Pastor Scott McNay officiating. Burial services will be in Parkview Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.
