Wilburt Garr, 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Unionville, Missouri, on Thursday, May 7, 2020.
Wilburt Eugene Garr was born in Unionville, Missouri, on April 30, 1962, the son of Howard Clarence and Mamie Mildred (Bunnell) Garr, who preceded him in death. Wilburt was reared in Unionville and although disabled all his life, he finished his GED. Wilburt liked to fish for catfish and cook his catchings to share with others. He was a NASCAR racing fan and liked muscle cars. Even though Wilburt was bound to a wheelchair for most of his life, he was often seen around town visiting in various business and at events in the community.
Wilburt is survived by three brothers, Everett (Joann) Garr of Centerville, Iowa, Robert (Beverly) Garr of Kirksville, Missouri, and Hubert (Debbie) Garr of Unionville; as well as a sister, Bonnie (Jim) Handland of Iowa. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Wilburt was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Garr, and two sisters, Zella Rogers and Mildred Hines.
Family graveside services for Wilburt were held Saturday, May 9, 2020.
