Mary Ann Gronemeier, 86, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away Saturday evening, March 7, 2020 at the University Hospital in Columbia.
The daughter of Charles and Mabel (Robertson) Asher, she was born January 20, 1934 at Kahoka, Missouri. On June 26, 1994 she married Herman G. Gronemeier and he preceded her in death on February 21, 2013. Also preceding her were her parents and one daughter, Karen Eichelberger.
Her survivors include; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Steve Vorce of Columbia; several grandchildren including, Sheila Vorce Garten and Kasy Eichelberger; several great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Charles Asher, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary grew up in Kahoka and in 1966 moved to Columbia. She worked for several years at Square D, retiring in 1996. She loved sewing, crocheting, going to auctions and garage sales and collecting antiques. She also enjoyed puzzles, dancing, fishing and old tractors.
A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Oakwood Cemetery in Milan, Missouri. Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
