Marjorie Rosella Brown was born in Seymour, Iowa, on January 17, 1927, the daughter o Glen and Maggie (Stroud) Brown. The couple farmed in southern Iowa and northern Missouri, and later Marjorie shared her talents with Putnam County schools by serving in the lunch room. Marjorie’s greatest love was her family. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, and home canning. She was known for her bread and noodles, and Marjorie had the best hands for crimping pie crusts. Her grandkid’s favored her sugared water syrup over pancakes. Her house was filled every weekend with loved ones, especially her grandkids. No stranger to hard work, Marjorie encouraged everyone she knew because, after all, “Old can’t never did do anything.”

Marjorie is survived by three daughters, Linda (Doug) Robertson, of Unionville, Missouri, Vicki Rollins of Seymour, Iowa, and Lisa (Michael) Wojcik of Dysart, Iowa; and one son, James Rollins of Unionville, Missouri.
