Charles Glen Brundage

Charles Glen Brundage, 74 years old, of Green Castle, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Milan Health Care Center in Milan, Missouri.

Charles was born on July 19, 1945, in Novinger, Missouri to Vern and Roxie (Sholley) Brundage. He lived most of his life in the Sullivan County area and graduated from the Novinger High school in Novinger, Missouri. He married Janita Bragg in 1965 and two children were born to this marriage. On March 3, 1990, he married Phyllis Ruth Harrington who preceded him in death on September 3, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Loyce Ford and Darlene Hunt, and one brother in law, Ray Ford.

Charles is survived by his two children, Todd and wife Joan Brundage of Green Castle, and Lynn and husband Kenny Jones of Green Castle, his grandchildren, Dylan Brundage (Shelby), Jared Brundage, Lindey Lindquist (Kody), Taylor Jones (Anna), Allysen Jones, Samantha Coulson, Miranda Coulson, great grandchildren, Kasen Lindquist, Kye Lindquist, Kimberlyn Lindquist, Kenlee Jones, Aiden Campbell, Jensen Brundage, Weston Brundage, and Mason Brundage, one brother in law, Ted Hunt, and several nieces and nephews.

Upon graduating high school, Charles began working at the Shoe Factory in Kirksville. After a brief period there he started his career at Donaldson’s in Kirksville, which he was at for 18 years before transferring to the Chillicothe plant where he retired in 1999.
Charles loved everything outdoors, but what really made it special to him was spending it with family. From attending school activities, sporting events, to going fishing and hunting he never missed an opportunity to spend time with grandchildren. He also greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing with his long time friend Orin Ledford.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City. Burial will follow in the Green Castle Cemetery in Green Castle. A scheduled visitation will be held 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the funeral home.
