LOUISVILLE – The Bulldog women could not dig out of a 24-point hole and fell 72-62 on the road to Bellarmine University.
Truman (16-6; 12-3 GLVC) trailed 22-19 early in the second quarter but a 12-0 run by the Knights propelled Bellarmine (13-9; 8-7 GLVC) out to a 34-19 lead. They would outscore the Bulldogs 20-7 in the second quarter and lead 40-22 at the break.
Katie Jaseckas led the Bulldog scorers with 17 points and added 10 rebounds. Katey Klucking added 15 points on four three-pointers and Totta finished with 13. The Bulldogs shot 35% for the game and only 52% (10-of-19) from the foul line.
Truman will look to regroup on Saturday when they head to the University of Indianapolis for a 1 p.m. start.
